Inside by Aegis-Illustration Inside by Aegis-Illustration
No matter what I say, no matter what I do...I can't change what happened..."

Acrylics and dissolvents on wood covered with wrinkled paper, 50 x 70 cm..

The image of the child is a photomanipulation done by myself long time ago I didn't submitted before. To integrate the photo with the rest of the composition I made the mother in paper paste making lots of reliefs, later covered with some plaste.

For the "A Natural Disaster" series:
Through my fingers
Empty
Begin and End

If you had something inside and now you feel empty...this is for you.

A long time desired work, I was preparing it from some months until now, I just wanted to make it as good as I could. I made lots os sketches using the same effects and textures to see how could be the final result. Obviously, the photomanipulation was not added with Photoshop later, it was printed in non-satinated photo paper and pasted in the wood. Have some ideas about the concept of this piece? Let me know! I'll more than happy to hear your opinions and suggestions (:

Marvellous. It's a pity that the photo doesn't look very sharp, because the texture must be splendid. I love your techniques and the painting itself, the concept, is terrifying as it is beautiful.

This is a really interesting piece for me, as it reminds me a lot of the work I do myself.. which lately have been sentering around birth, children and so on.. :D I really like this piece.. the use of colours are wonderful, and both colours and motive reminds me a lot of my own piece 'Mother'.. this is really cool, to find so many similarities.. :D And you executed this idea wonderfully, I must say.. I think it is your best.. because it is so clean.. it has a clear nice composition.. not all messy like a lot of surreal works can be.. that is what drags surreal down sometimes, that they are too messy, with too many elements that do not work good enough together.. but here you did well! :D

It's great to see art where the process is well thought out, it looks like this was an interesting peice to work on! Great integration of the different media. Powerful concept, too. My only gripe is that the photo quality is kinda poor, heh.

This is wonderful and sooo sad, makes one wonder what went wrong. The child is so fully grown, the eyes are looking at you with a wise sad look, like it knows what's gonna happen, and the mother seems a bit absent (the way you can't see her face). The 'blurriness' of the pic adds to the sad feeling, like seen through tears in a way.!!

Blurry? If you mean the pic itself it because the pic is poor quality, I have to make another better one ;P, if you're talking about the meaning...then yeah, you're right, I use to make things hard to understand lol

And, wow! Thanks a lot for your Geniality Point! I'm pleased :aww: XD
